The treating dentist will assess your smile and decide whether IPR is required for your case. IPR is common practice in aligner therapy and is performed to ensure treatment success and safety, as well as to prevent potential complications like buck teeth, gum recession, root exposure etc.

IPR: Interproximal reduction (IPR) is the technical term for lightly trimming the sides of your teeth. This is done in cases where the teeth are crowded together, to create the necessary space for your teeth to move into. The procedure is relatively pain-free and does not do any damage to the enamel.
